Domenic Calitri 77, of Clinton Street, Johnston, died Monday, July 28, 2008 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence. He was the beloved husband of Irene ( Dupuis) Calitri. They were happily married for fifty-six years. Born in Providence he was the son of the late Carmine and Anna (DelVicario) Calitri. Mr. Calitri was a US Army veteran serving during the Korean War. He was a member of Union Local #271 for over fifty years. Mr. Calitri was employed by Turgeon Construction, Gustafson & Son and Calcagni Inc. before retiring in 1993. Besides his wife he is survived by his daughter, Donna M. Procter and her husband Steven and his son Alan D. Calitri all of Johnston. Mr. Calitri was the grandfather of Tanya McNeil, Amanda, Britney and Alexandra Calitri. He was the brother of Marie Harrop, Concetta Razza and Jeanette Phillips all of Warwick, Louis Calitri of Lincoln and Carmine Calitri of Warwick and the late Antonette Therault. He was tenderly cared for by the nurses and CNA's at Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center to which his family is eternally grateful. Domenic was a loving husband, father and friend to all who knew him and he will be greatly missed. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Friday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial with at 10:00 a.m. in St. Thomas Church, 65 Fruit Hill Avenue, Providence. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
