65, of Providence, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on October 25, 2018, at Roger Williams Medical Center, Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Alfred Accioli.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late John and Theresa (Lombardi) Rotondo. Dolores was the sister of the late JoAnn Rotondo. She is survived by many loving relatives and friends. Dolores touched many lives and her memory will last forever.
A compassionate, generous, and beautiful person, Dolores was a special part of the Fogarty Center since 1977. Her happiest times were spent socializing with family, friends, healthcare workers… always asking how they were doing, listening to country music, attending concerts, helping others, traveling, and enjoying Italian food and festivities. Dolores was a bell ringer for the Salvation Army for many years.
Dolores was a member of the Self-Advocacy Program, a graduate of the Leadership Series, Providence College’s Best Buddies / Adult Literacy Program and Special Olympics.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Friday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Thomas Church, 65 Fruit Hill Avenue, Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Friday morning 9:00-10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dolores’ memory to the Fogarty Center-SLP, 220 Woonasquatucket Avenue, North Providence, RI 02911.
