Dolores Maiello Ciambrone of Cranston, died on April 1 in her home surrounded by her daughters. She was the daughter of the late Alfred and Ida (Perrotti) Maiello of Cranston. She was married to the late William F. Ciambrone. She was also the long time companion of Robert "Woody" Wynter. She was loving mother to son, Bill Ciambrone and daughter-in-law Kristen, of Sudbury MA, and daughters Darlene Ciambrone, Desirée Ciambrone and her husband Edward Simpson, and Dawn (Ciambrone) Manzi and son-in-law Michael (all of Cranston). She also leaves behind her pride and joy--her grandchildren: Will, Alexandra, Jason, Jordan, Ariel, Luke, Keira, and Grayson. Sister of the late Alfred "Freddie" Maiello and sister-in-law Rosann, she is survived by her brother Raymond Maiello and sister-in-law Shirley of Cranston.
Dolores proudly earned her MSW from Rhode Island College in 1984 while working full time and raising four children. As a social worker, she was employed at the RI Institute of Mental Health, RI Department of Children, Youth and their Families, and Miriam hospital. After retirement, she enjoyed her favorite pastimes of frequenting the beach, reading, shopping, the casino, and spending time with family and friends.
Dolores was a vivacious, fun-loving woman who made friends wherever she went. Her children will forever cherish the time spent, and memories made, with their devoted mother. And her courage, style, and zest for life will remain an inspiration.
