Dolly Zachariah

Dolly Zachariah, 63, of Sunnyvale, CA, formerly of Redwood Valley, CA passed away on December 14, 2019 in Philadelphia, PA.  She was the beloved wife of Jacob Zachariah.

Born in Kerala, India, she was a daughter of the late Dr. Jose and Mary James.

Mrs. Zachariah received a law degree from the National Law School of India, Bangalore and her PhD in Social Work from Florida State University and has worked for Caritas Internationalis and Oxfam and Catholic Charities.  She was a devoted wife and mother and enjoyed being a figure skating and wrestling mother.  She was a classical Indian dancer.

Besides her husband, she leaves three children, Jerome Zachariah and his wife Nadia Nocera Zachariah of Philadelphia, PA, Jerusha Zachariah and Joshua Zachariah of Sunnyvale, CA; two siblings, Stella Mathew and Babu Jose of India.  She was the sister of the late James Joseph.

Her funeral will be held Saturday, December 21, 2019 at 9am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Mary Church, 1525 Cranston Street, Cranston.  Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.  VISITING HOURS Friday 5-8pm.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, 1500 Rose Crans Avenue, Suite 200, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266 or Caritas Internationalis, Development Office, Palazzo San Calisto, Vatican City 00120.
