Diane M. Valliere

March 14, 1961 — April 17, 2020

Diane M. Valliere

59, of North Kingstown, RI, passed peacefully on Friday, April 17, 2020 at Hope Health Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, RI, after fighting a courageous battle against pancreatic cancer. Diane will be forever remembered by all those who loved her, especially by her biggest fan, advocate, supporter and most importantly son, Daniel Valliere of Pawtucket, RI. In addition, she leaves behind her beloved mother Jane (Weatherwax) Jerzyk of Agawam, MA; and loving siblings, Michael Valliere (Darlene) of Lake Pleasant, MA, Susan Solek of Agawam, MA, Joseph Valliere (Roy) of Newnan, GA and Lori Liska of Westfield, MA, as well as many cherished nieces and nephews.

Born on March 14, 1961 in Ludlow, MA, Diane was the daughter of Jane (Weatherwax) Jerzyk and the late Donald Valliere. Diane spent the later part of her childhood growing up in Southwick, MA. She attended Southwick High School and then went on to college where she worked toward a career in social work. She spent much of her professional career as Social Worker for both the states of Massachusetts and Florida. Her true loving and compassionate character shinned throughout her career as she cared very deeply for the families she worked with. She impacted and touched the lives of many and asked for nothing in return. Diane had an unexplainable way with nature and animals that was natural and magical. Her two cats, Ki-Ki and Baby were her fur babies that she loved and adored. She had an eye for photography like no other and her love for the ocean was clearly depicted through those photos. She loved the simple things in life, music, reading, and spending time with friends and family. Diane’s favorite song “Free Bird” by Lynard Skynyrd, is how we will memorialize her; now as a Free Bird. As per her wishes funeral services are respectfully omitted.
