Diane E. Plante, 68, of West Warwick, RI, passed away on Sunday March 9, 2025, with her family by her side. Born in Providence, RI, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Marie Rose (Bergeron) Plante.
Having had a long career in the medical field, she was a medical billing specialist until her retirement. If there was a family dessert or treat recipe that had been passed down by a previous generation you could be assured that Diane knew it and would have perfected it. She always looked forward to family functions so that she could display her passion and skill for baking those traditional family recipes. She loved starting her day with early morning walks when the weather was favorable. She also enjoyed music and dancing in her younger years. Diane’s sense of style was quite unmatched. She had an affinity for anything feminine, pink, sparkly and crystal. Whether it was her clothing or her home décor, she loved it all.
She was the devoted mother of Melinda Golembeske and her husband Timothy. She was the cherished Mémère Plante of Sansa and Henry Golembeske. She was the devoted sister of Jeanette Fegan, Charles Plante and his wife Phyllis, Marie “Mary” Zavilla and her husband Terry, Jacqueline Plante, Cynthia Day and her late husband Michael, Gerard Plante and his wife Robin. She also leaves a great many nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was the sister-in-law of Annette Wertz and her husband Carl. She was predeceased by her siblings Ernest Plante, Jr and his wife Dolores, Lionel Plante, Germaine Luther and her husband Ronald and her brother Albert Plante and his wife Cheryl.
Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Saturday March 15, 2025, from 10:00 am -12:00 pm in the Nardolillo Funeral Home and Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston.
