Derek J. LeBlanc

of Buttonwoods Ave., Warwick, passed away Friday, September 27, 2019 at RI Hospital in Providence.  Born in Providence, he was the devoted and cherished son of David J. and Cheryl A. (Cucino) LeBlanc of Warwick.

Derek was an apprentice electrician; he enjoyed learning and was often taking various self-improvement courses. He was an alter server for the Sts. Rose & Clement Parish and a member of the Legion of Mary Rosary.

Derek also loved animals, woodworking, cooking, physical fitness and hiking.  He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially biking with his uncle, as a young child Derek showed how strong and determined he could be once he set his mind to something by biking the entire east bay bike path round trip totaling 29 miles.

He loved holidays. Thanksgiving and Christmas was his favorites as the extended family would all be together. He would often be doing things to help his grandparents whom he loved so much.

Most importantly, Derek had a deep love for his family, and cherished the time they would spend together. His mom Cheryl was his rock whom he could always count on when times got difficult.
