DENNIS C. ALMONTE

73, of Cranston, passed away on Friday, April 13, 2012 in West Palm Beach, Florida. He was the beloved husband of Ann Marie (Saccoccio) Almonte. Dennis was born in Cranston, a son of the late Henry Almonte, Sr. and Felicia (Volpe) Almonte. Mr. Almonte was the owner and operator of the former Federal Dairy until 1977 when he became the Vice President of Sales at East Greenwich Dairy and then was employed at Natures Best where he was the company Vice President until his retirement. Dennis was also a Bryant College graduate, an Army veteran and former CLCF Football and Wrestling Coach.
Besides his beloved wife he is survived by his loving children, Dennis Jay Almonte of Charlestown, Christopher Almonte of Milford, MA and Timothy Almonte of Cranston. He was also the cherished grandfather of Drew Edwards Almonte, Victoria Almonte, Jamilia Almonte, Rachel Almonte , Nicholas Almonte and was the brother of Anna Silvestri of Cranston, Henry Almonte , Jr. of South Kingstown, Frances Bealsi of South Kingstown, Mariah Almonte of East Greenwich and the late Anthony and Joseph Almonte.
His funeral will be held on Friday at 9 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 791 Potters Ave., Providence. Burial with military honors will be held in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Thursday 4-8 pm.
