92, of Johnston, previously of Bal Harbour, FL, passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at Briarcliffe Manor in Johnston. She was the beloved wife of the late Alfred DeMaris. Demetra was born in Greece, a daughter of the late Louis and Mary (Papademetriou) Christopulos.
Demetra is survived by her loving niece; Angela Promades and her husband Carroll of Bristol and her nephew; George Panas and his wife Beverly of MA. She was also the sister of the late Helen Panos and Anna Panas. She was knighted by The Knights of Malta in 1983, and was a member of The Surf Club, The Indian Creek Country Club and The Jockey Club in Florida.
Her funeral will be held on Monday at 10 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a service at 11 am in the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, Oaklawn Ave., Cranston. Burial will take place in North Burial Ground, Providence. VISITING HOURS: Monday morning 9-10 am.
