49, of Johnston, passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2013, at Rhode Island Hospital surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was the cherished and devoted husband of Lisa R. (Riccio) Russo. Born in Providence, August 6, 1964, he was the son of Alfred A. Russo, Sr. of Johnston and the late Shirley A. (Mulholland) Russo. Sadly he leaves his two greatest treasures in life, his daughters Annisiah M. Russo and Alexia M. Russo whom he loved and adored more than life itself. Besides his wife and children, he is survived by his loving brother Alfred A. Russo, Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Johnston. David was the cherished son-in-law of Benedetto and Maria (Splendorio) Riccio of Johnston, and brother-in-law of Frank B. Riccio and his wife Cheri, Maria Riccio and Tina Riccio and her fiancAC. Marc. David was the cherished uncle of Michael, Julia, Corey, Briana, Ashley, Anthony, Nicholas and Isabella. He was a wonderful and caring nephew, cousin, and true friend to all who knew him. David was the owner and operator of Russo Brothers Construction, LLC and was employed as a heavy equipment operator for over twenty-five years. His greatest joy in the winter was preparing for an upcoming snow storm, day or night he was always ready to plow snow. David also enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends, whether vacationing with his wife and children, playing bocce, playing cards, riding his motorcycle, visiting with family or simply watching sports with his friends he always had a smile on his face and brought a smile to many. He was an avid Yankees fan and Harley Davidson enthusiast. David was a member of the Santa Maria DiPrata Society, serving on the Board of Trustees, as well as a member of the Rhode Island Boccia League and the Madonna Della Civita Society. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Friday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Rocco Church, 927 Atwood Avenue, Johnston.
