David H. Dressel

91, of Wakefield, passed away on September 8, 2021.  Born on June 3, 1930 in Ironton, OH, he was the son of the late Sylvester and Cecilia (Howard) Dressel.

He served in the US Navy during the Korean War, and after being honorably discharged at Quonset, he made Rhode Island his home.  He received a BA degree from Bryant University on the GI Bill.

Mr. Dressel was a restauranteur with his family, in Ohio and West Virginia.  He worked in accounting and transportation most of his life, later in customer service and human resources, most recently at Stop & Shop in South Kingstown.

Throughout his life he enjoyed cooking and sharing recipes from his restauranteur experience.  He was a communicant of St. Thomas More Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He leaves a son, Paul Dressel of Warwick; and two grandsons, Isaac and Elijah Dressel.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial On Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at 10am in St. Thomas More Church, 53 Rockland Street, Narragansett.  Burial will follow in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VNA of Care New England Hospice, 51 Health Lane, Warwick, RI 02886.
