DAVID R. D'ANDREA, 53, of Warwick, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2009 at Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center in Providence after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy E. (Allen) D'Andrea. Born in Warwick, he was the son of the late Carmino and Evelyn (Panarello) D'Andrea.
David was a master electrician and worked at St. Joseph's Hospital in Providence for 14 years before retiring due to his illness. He enjoyed softball and played on many championship teams. He also loved watching his sons play baseball and other sports. Dave will be remembered for his generosity, kindness and his humor.
Besides his wife, he was the loving father of Brett, Zachary, David, Thomas, Jill and Stacey D'Andrea, all of Warwick; loving grandfather of Alexia and Mia; and dear brother of William R. D'Andrea of East Greenwich and the late Richard D'Andrea. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. His funeral will be held Tuesday at 8:45 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Timothy's Church, 1799 Warwick Ave., Warwick at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be private.
