DANIEL A. RYAN

61, of Hollyhock Drive, Cranston, passed away Saturday August 28, 2010 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. He was the devoted husband of Carol (Soprano) Ryan. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Albert D. and Madelyn M. (Sousa) Ryan. Daniel was a mechanical estimator for various contractors for many years before his retirement. He was a member of Steamfitters Local 476 and its successor Local 51 for the past 41 years, and formerly served as a trustee on its Health and Welfare Board and as Recording Secretary. Besides his wife, he was the beloved father of Benjamin Ryan of Cranston; dear brother of John Ryan and his wife Christine of Cranston; Eileen Steigerwald and her husband Karl of New York; beloved son- in- law of Louis Soprano of Cranston; dear brother - in - law of James Soprano of Cranston; loving uncle of Katherine, Caitlin, Shannon, Leeanne and David. His funeral will be held on Wednesday at 8:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Ave. Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Church of St. Mark Garden City Cranston at 9:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS TUESDAY 3-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your Charity of Choice.
