DANIEL S. ROSATI

84, of Johnston, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2010 at home. He was the husband of Pauline A. (Conte) Rosati. They were married for fifty-nine years. Born in Georgiaville, he was a son of the late Luigi and Restituta (Capobianco) Rosati. Mr. Rosati was a supervisor at the commissary store at Quonset Point. He was also the co-owner of P. Liberati Company of Providence for several years before retiring due to a spinal cord injury. He was a US Marine Corps veteran serving in the Pacific Theatre during WW II. Mr. Rosati remained in the Marines for an additional twelve years. He was a recruiting sergeant in Providence and West Warwick. A graduate of West Warwick High School, he attended Bryant Junior College and Edgewood Junior College. He was a member of the Valley Country Club for twenty five years. Daniel was a very happy and courageous man, who enjoyed life immensely. He had many friends. One of his greatest pleasures was playing cards on Monday evenings with his friends at the Elks Lodge in Smithfield. Besides his wife he is survived by his thoughtful and caring brother-in-law Albino Conte and his sister-in-law Elena (Conte) Solsberg. He is also survived by his dear niece Virginia Masciarelli and her husband Alfred, his thoughtful nephew Dennis Conte, his many nieces, nephews and all his dear cousins, who loved him. Mr. Rosati was the brother of the late Ettore Rosati and Cristina Liberati. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Monday at 8:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m. in St. Rocco's Church, 927 Atwood Avenue, Johnston. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Sunday 4-8 p.m. Kindly omit flowers.
