C.W. Frederick Reichwein, III

of N. Scituate, passed away on Wednesday December 13th in East Providence.

Born in Providence he was the son of the late C. Fred Reichwein, II and Mary (Motta) Ormonde.

Fred was a graduate of Scituate High School, attended RI College and served in the Army National Guard. He was the owner of Oceanstate Nurseries, Inc. for over 25 years.

He is survived by his children, Brian Reichwein (Jessica) and Christine Filippenko (Kostya), and three grandchildren, Joseph Reichwein, Connor and Kira Filippenko. He was the brother of F. Alan Reichwein (Shirley), Rosemary Ibach, and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He also leaves his former wife Marie Reichwein.

Fred's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 19th, 2023, 10 am, at St. Joseph's Church, 144 Danielson Pike, Scituate.

Family and Friends are asked to go directly to the Church.  Burial will be immediately following in St. Ann Cemetery in Cranston.
