CONSTANCE (VALVONA) DEL PONTE

89, of Johnston, died Sunday, March 14, 2010 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. She was the wife of the late Joseph P. DelPonte. Born in Italy she was a daughter of the late Nicandro and Eleanor (Scungio) Valvona. Mrs. DelPonte was a front office supervisor at the Sheraton-Biltmore Hotel, Providence. She was also employed at the former Calco Manufacturing Company, Inc. Providence until her retirement. She is survived by her loving daughter, Patrice R. DelPonte of Johnston. Constance was the sister of Mary DiCicco of San Francisco, CA, Florence Mancini of Huntington Beach, CA and the late Carmella "Cam" Contelmo and Dolores Siok.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Cross Church, 645 Hartford Avenue, Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: VNA of RI, 475 Kilvert Street, Warwick, RI 02886.
