86, of Howard Avenue, Scituate, passed away peacefully at Scalabrini Villa, North Kingstown, surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, February 23, 2010. He was the beloved husband of 61 years to the late Gloria (Drew) Keebler. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Conrad J. and Regina (Gleason) Keebler. Conrad was the founder of the former Narragansett Roofing Company. He enlisted in the Army Air Force at age 18 during WW II. A navigator on the Force, Conrad was on the fighter plane that accompanied the Enola Gay on its mission to Hiroshima. An avid sailor and old time farmer, Conrad loved country living. He was a dedicated and loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He leaves his devoted children: Conrad J. Keebler III of Warwick, Geoffrey Keebler of Scituate, Mary Jean Roche of Scituate, Carolanne McNichols of Scituate. Cherished grandchildren: Conrad IV, Scott, and Todd Keebler; Christina and Andrew Roche; Danielle and Kayla Ann McNichols and Alexis Gilbert. Great-grandchildren: Justin, Ariana and Morgan Keebler. Brother to the late Jeanette Cormier, Harriet Waxberg and Mary Sullivan. He is survived by his sister Doris LaCombe. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 10:00am in SS. Peter and Paul Church, 48 Highland Street, West Warwick and may call at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Friday 4-7pm. Burial, with military honors, will be in SS.
