Concetta "Connie" Criscione 83, of Eliza Street, Providence, died Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, North Providence. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Emanuele and Concetta (Cintolo) Criscione. Miss Criscione was a time clerk for the former Brown and Sharpe Company of Providence for many years until her retirement. She was also employed by Blue Cross, Blue Shield of RI. Connie was the first woman president of a union at Brown and Sharpe Company. She is survived by her brothers and sisters, Rose Pompei of New York, John Criscione of Coventry, Yolanda Criscione, Emanuela Iacono both of Warwick, Salvatore Criscione of Coventry, Emanuele Criscione of Cranston, Joseph Criscione and Marianna Criscione, both of Providence. Connie was the sister of the late Marianna and Joseph Criscione, Sadie Andreozzi and Elena Dolan. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Atwells Avenue, Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
