CONCETTA S. (RUSSO) CARRERA, 83, of Old Pocasset Road, Johnston, died Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence.
Born in Italy, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas Russo and Eda (Mancini) Tortolani, and step-daughter of the late Domenico Tortolani.
Concetta was a yarn inspector at the former Walter Marshall Spinning Mill in Johnston for many years, retiring in 1951.
She was the devoted mother of Steven Carrera of Cranston, Jeffrey Carrera of Johnston and Kim Carrera of Seekonk, MA; loving grandmother of Jason, Matthew, Jeffrey and Kevin; loving great-grandmother of Kayla, Dylan and Dominick; and dear sister of Anthony Tortolani of FL, and the late Marco Russo and Peter Tortolani.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Saturday at 8:00 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Rocco's Church, 1903 Atwood Ave., Johnston at 9:00 a.m.
Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
