Pezzulli, Clarence A. "Tom", "Poppi", 92, of Burdick Dr., Cranston, passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at the Haven Health Center, Coventry. He was the husband of Josephine "Josie "(Christy) Pezzulli. He was born in Providence a son of the late Antonio and Filomena (Landi) Pezzulli and he had resided in Cranston for the past 28 years. Mr. Pezzulli was a leadman toolmaker employed by the former Rau Fastener Co. of Providence for 29 years, retiring in 1982. He had previously been a machinist employed at the former H. Leach Machinery Co. and Reynolds Machinery Co.
He was a WWII Army Veteran and recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a member and past commander of the VFW Post # 10011 of North Providence, DAV Maurice Pion Chapter # 17, Purple Heart Chapter #388 and the VFW Senior Golf League. Beside his wife he is survived by 2 daughters, Cheryl L. Hunt of FL and Rayna M. Christy of Cranston. He was the grandfather of Michael A. Roche of Cranston. He is also survived by 2 step-daughters, Diane Scivola of Narragansett and Karen Leone of Cranston. He was the step-grandfather of Justin and Marisa Scivola and brother of Doris Bacarri of Westerly and the late Louisa Landi, Aida Cerelli, Melba Frost, Victor and Eugene Pezzulli. He is also survived by several neices and nephews. His funeral, with military honors, will be held on Tuesday at 9am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Immaculate Conception Church, Oaklawn Ave., Cranston at 10am. Burial will take place in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Monday 5-8pm.
