CLARA (PALUMBO) SPINA

(Palumbo) Clara Spina 78, of Pocasset St, Johnston passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at Kent Hospital in Warwick. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Spina, Sr. They were married 51 years. Clara was born in Providence a daughter of the late Salvatore and Maria (Valente) Palumbo. Mrs. Spina was a waitress for various catering companies in RI. Clara was a member of the Johnston Senior Center and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. She is survived by her loving children, Linda Torr of MA, Cheryl Cyr of North Providence, Joseph A. Spina, Jr. of Providence, James Spina of Johnston, her siblings, Stella Marzullo of North Kingstown, Lucy Avella of West Warwick, Joseph Palumbo of Warwick, Salvatore Palumbo Jr. of Providence. She was also the cherished grandmother of 11 and great grandmother of 3. Clara was the sister of the late John and Vincent Palumbo, and Connie Marzullo. Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 9 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Ave. Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Brigid's Church 1231 Plainfield St. Johnston. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. VISITNG HOURS: Friday 4-8 pm. Kindly omit flowers.
