Cardi, Clara F. (DelBonis). 95.
Passed away peacefully at The Cedars in Cranston, Rl on Friday (6-11-21). Beloved wife of
Erminio Cardi, M.D. for 65 years until his passing on 12-15-16. Born in the Knightsville section
of Cranston, she was the loving daughter of the late Francesco and Concetta (Cerrito)
DelBonis.
She was predeceased by her son, Raymond P. Cardi, M.D. (5-23-81), and is survived by her
children: Michael A. Cardi and his wife Diane of Wakefield, RI, Paul D. Cardi M.D. and his wife
Gail of Sarasota FI., Rosemary Hendrickx and her husband Douglas of Bedford N.H., James K.
Cardi M.D. and his wife Monica, of Jamestown, RI, and Ginamaria Shapiro and her husband
Louis, of Saunderstown, RI.
She was the loving grandmother of Alyssa Cardi and fiance Benjamin, Danielle Fagan and
husband Robert, Leigh and Cliff Cardi, Max Hendrickx and his wife Kate, Van Hendrickx and
his wife Stephanie, Christian and Beatrice Cardi, and Hannah, Celia, Levi, and Ty Shapiro.
Great grandmother of Mia and Samantha Fagan.
Sister of Joseph, John, Narzio and Silvio DelBonis, and Theresa Ciccolello. She is survived by
her older sister Mary Spremulli.
Selflessly devoted to her family, she loved cooking, traveling, tending to her flower gardens,
interior design (attended RISD), but most of all spending time with family and friends.
Caling hours are omitted. Funeral Tuesday 6-15-21 with a mass of Christian Burial at 10am at
St. Mary's Church, Cranston, RI.
