of Narragansett, RI died unexpectedly on June 2, 2011 at RI Hospital in Providence. Born December 21, 1929 in Brooklyn, NY, she was a graduate of Syracuse University and she had her Masters from New York University. Claire was a professor of physical education and coach at White Plains High School and URI. She was an inductee of New Agenda's Women's Hall of Fame, member of American Heart Association, avid gardener and sports fan.
Survived by husband of 43 years, Franklin H. Robinson Jr., son Franklin H. Robinson III and wife Kristen of West Hartford, CT, daughter Holley Serpa and husband David of Boston, MA, son James Robinson and wife Nancy of Stoddard, NH, daughter Susan Lacus and husband Rich of Martha's Vineyard, MA. Also survived by sister Ruth Miller of Holland MA and late sister Marie Risher, as well as 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service to be held on Sunday at 12 noon in the Nardolillo Funeral Home & Crematory SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Rd.,( Rt.1A), in Narragansett, RI.
