Charlotte A. (Rutstrom) Silvia

of Narragansett, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2020 surrounded by her loving family.  She was the beloved wife of Robert J. Silvia for twenty-eight years.

Born in Livermore Falls, ME, she was a daughter of the late Eric and Laura (Grimaldi) Rutstrom.

Mrs. Silvia was an airline stewardess for Eastern Airlines in the 1960’s and worked in sales for Goff & Page before becoming the CFO of Process Engineers & Constructors before retiring.  She was a member of the South Kingstown Elks Lodge #1899.

Charlotte enjoyed good wine, cooking, and entertaining.  She had a zest for life and loved to laugh.  She had many varied interests including painting, ceramics, gardening, making jewelry, sewing, traveling and most of all shopping.

Besides her husband, she leaves her daughter, Stacey L. Chadronet and her husband Thomas of Jamestown; twin siblings, Dante Rutstrom of Blountville, TN and Kerry McGrath of Exeter, NH; and her two cherished grandchildren, Cameron and Claire Chadronet.  She was the sister of the late Debra Kennedy.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at 10am in St. Peter’s by-the-Sea Episcopal Church, 72 Central Street, Narragansett.  Burial will follow in New Fernwood Cemetery, Kingston.  VISITING HOURS Tuesday from 4-8pm in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory-SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Road (Rt. 1A), Narragansett.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Special Olympics of RI, 370 George Washington Hwy, Smithfield, RI 02917, Guiding Eyes for the Blind, 611 Granite Springs Road, Yorktown Heights, NY 10598 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
