CHARLOTTE E. (MAHONEY) BENSON

90, of Cherry Hill Rd., Johnston, passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at Cedar Crest Nursing Center in Cranston. She was the beloved wife of the late James Benson. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late James and Mary (Lauer) Mahoney. Mrs. Benson was the devoted mother of Barbara Palazzo and her husband Eric of Cranston and the late James P. Benson and infant Marianne Benson; dear mother-in-law of Patty Benson of Cape Coral, FL, beloved grandmother of James, Kara and Brad; loving great-grandmother of Shannon, James, Jack and Abrielle and dear sister of the late Mary Mahoney, Margaret Szymanski and Florence Eleftherion. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 11 a.m. in Holy Apostles Church, 800 Pippin Orchard Rd., Cranston. Interment will be private and visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: "James P.
