Charles Perrino

89, of Westbrook Rd. Cranston, passed away on Friday March 5, 2010 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Gloria (Ianitelli) Perrino, to whom he was married for 60 years. Charles was born in Providence a son of the late Michael and Jeanette (Paolino) Perrino. Charlie was along with his brothers Michael and Raymond owner of Cranston Farms Dairy founded in 1900. He later was a much loved school bus driver for the city of Cranston. He was past Grand Knight of the Leo Council Knights of Columbus and an active member of the ITAM Society. Charlie was very proud to serve his country in WWII with a rank of Staff Sergeant in the Company B 626th Tank Destroyer Battalion. He served in three theaters of war as an expert rifle marksman and was honorably discharged. Charlie was a CLCF Baseball coach and a volunteer with The Boy Scouts of America. His love and compassion for children and animals was noticed by all. Besides his loving wife he is survived by , his son Charles Perrino and wife Barbara, his son Paul Perrino and wife Tina and his daughter Lucille Rocchio. He was proud of his three grandchildren, Leah and Paul Perrino and Benjamin Rocchio. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 10 am in St. Joseph Church, Providence St. West Warwick. Burial with Military Honors will be in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
