91, of Cranston, Rhode Island passed away on January 18, 2021 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. He was the devoted husband of the late Joyce Lillian Nardone (Brown).
Charles was born on February 17, 1929, to the late Emilio Nardone and Maria Grazia Nardone (Valente) and was a lifelong resident of Cranston where both he and his brother Michael were partners in the Imperial Builders Construction company until retiring. As an Army Veteran of the Korean war, Charles served as a Corporal in the field artillery unit at Ferris Barracks, Erlangen, Germany. Upon his return, he became an active member in the VFW 2812 Post, the South County Rod and Gun Club in West Greenwich as well as the NRA.
Along with his sister Mary Pastore of Narragansett, Charles is survived by his five children and their spouses; Deborah and John Deion, Paula and Jud Frey, Maureen and Paul Mihailides, Pam and Vincent Rossi, and Charles and Susan Nardone; as well as 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Michael and Anthony Nardone.
A private funeral will be held on Monday, Janurary 25th from the Nardolillo Funeral Home at 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, Rhode Island. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 11 AM at St. Rocco’s church where he was a dedicated patron. A private interment will follow with military honors at the RI Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory to your favorite charity would be appreciated.
