CHARLES C. "CURT" AMADON, JR

63, of Knight Hill Road, Clayville, passed away Friday, June 3, 2011 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Jeanne A. (Cutler) Amadon. Born in Providence, he was the devoted son of Corrine E. (Comstock) Amadon of Clayville and the late Charles C. Amadon.

Curt was a foreman for the City of Cranston Recreation Department where he worked for 36 years before retiring in March of this year. He was a combat medic in Vietnam and recipient of the Purple Heart.

Besides his wife and mother, he was the devoted father of Thomas J. Manzi and his wife Elena of Cranston; dear brother of Johnne Amadon of Clayville; and loving grandfather of Brianna, Brittney and Brooke.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 2068 Cranston St., Cranston and may call at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Wednesday 4-8 p.m.
