92, of Johnston, passed away on Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center in Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Allan F. Gladding, Sr. Born in Providence, Celia was a daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes (Cybulska) Dowiot. She was a solderer for the former Cellini Manufacturing Company for over forty years, before retiring.
Celia is survived by her loving children, Debora Di Filippo and her husband Ronald of North Providence, and Allan F. Gladding, Jr. of Warwick. She was the cherished grandmother of Gina Maher and her husband Ross of North Providence, and Amy Di Filippo and her companion David Fisher of Lincoln. Celia was the great grandmother of Aidan, Alexander, and Angelina. She was the dear sister of Margaret “Peggy” DeFusco and her husband Louis of Cumberland and predeceased by eight siblings.
Her funeral will be held on Tuesday from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Robert Bellarmine Parish, Atwood Avenue, Johnston, at 10 a.m. VISITING HOURS are on Monday from 4-7 p.m. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Autism Project of RI, 1516 Atwood Ave, Johnston, RI 02919.
