CATHERINE M. ZAROOGIAN
CATHERINE M. (ELBY) ZAROOGIAN, 78 of East Greenwich, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at Kent County Hospital in Warwick. She was the beloved wife for 53 years of Charles Zaroogian.
Born in Cranston, a daughter of the late Alexander and Martha M. (Arzoomanian) Elby, she lived in Cranston, before moving to East Greenwich in 2004.
Mrs. Zaroogian was a crossing guard for the City of Cranston for many years, before retiring.
Besides her husband, she was the loving and devoted mother of Charles D. Zaroogian of Cranston, Steven J. Zaroogian and his wife Joanne of East Greenwich, Kathleen A. Zaroogian and Mary Jean Zaroogian, both of Cranston and Donna M. Garrahy and her husband Michael of Warwick; loving grandmother of Lisa, Christina, Karisa and Brandyn; and dear sister of the late Thomas Elby. She also leaves many cherished relatives, friends and extended family members.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service Monday at 10:00 a.m. in Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church, Providence, and may call at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Sunday 5-8 p.m.
Burial will be at RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Church, 70 Jefferson St., Providence, RI 02908.
