CATHERINE F. (KANE) SEAMANS

Catherine F. (Kane) Seamans 71, of Forand Circle, Johnston, formerly of Providence, passed away at home on Sunday, August 24, 2008 surrounded by her loving family after a courageous seven month battle with cancer. She was the wife of John Seamans. They were married for thirty-seven years. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late William J. and Margaret (Sousa) Kane. Mrs. Seamans was a Data Entry Supervisor for A&H Manufacturing Company and was also employed by the former Universal Optical Company of Providence. She was the Treasurer of the Aime J. Forand Tenants Association. Besides her husband, she is survived by her devoted sons, Stephen E. Kane and his wife Andrea of Stonington, CT and Edwin F. Kane and his wife Barbara of Exeter. She was the cherished grandmother of Ryan T. Kane and his wife Becky of Cumberland, Laura E. Kane of Exeter, Matthew S. Kane of Stonington, CT, Melanie A. Kane of Exeter and Grant A. Kane of Stonington, CT. She was the sister and best friend of Margaret Castore of East Greenwich and William Kane of Coventry. Her funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston. Burial will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
