CATHERINE 'KATE' I. (WADE) RYAN

88, of Grande Ville Court, Wakefield, formerly of Benson Ave., Warwick, passed away on Monday, January 14, 2013. She was the loving wife and best friend of the late Edward M Ryan. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Rose (Fitzpatrick) Wade.

Catherine was a strong, independent, kind and generous woman. She had a passion for politics and was very involved with the Warwick Democratic campaigns for many years. She valued education and volunteered hours of her time to various schools and to her church community. Catherine was past president of the St Mary's Academy, Bayview Parent's Guild. She worked at G. Fox in a variety of different positions for over 15 years.

Besides spending time with her family and friends, she loved to go to the beach, read, shop and keep up with the latest fashion trends.

She was the devoted mother of Michaela Arthurs, Lizbeth Larkin, Mark Ryan and Lisa Ryan; loving grandmother of Amie Amaral, Mark Battista, Mark Ryan, Jesse Larkin, Ryan Yalanis, Maegan Ryan, Braelyn Weaver, Mackenzie Weaver and Elyse Weaver; and loving great-grandmother of Cori Battista Amaral, Oscar Larkin and Norah Larkin.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 11:30 a.m. in St. Mary, Star of the Sea Church, 864 Point Judith Rd., Narragansett.

Interment will be private and visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
