CATHERINE J. (JOBE) ONYSKO

82, of Cranston, died Tuesday, July 21, 2009, at home. Married in Providence in 1948, she was the wife of the late Steve Onysko. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Helen (Feeney) Jobe. Catherine was a graduate of St. Xavier Academy, Class of 1945. She enjoyed boating on Narragansett Bay, crocheting, crafts, and reading. Catherine will be most remembered for her generosity and kindness to her family and friends. She is survived by her loving children, Deborah A. Pati of Cranston and Steven J. Onysko of Park City, Utah. Catherine was the cherished grandmother of Eugene E. Pati, Jr., and Jeremy, Derek, and Kelsey Onysko, and the great-grandmother of Nicholas Pati. She was the sister of the late Albert A. Jobe, Jr. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Friday at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St Ann's Church, 1493 Cranston Street, Cranston. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. VISITING HOURS Friday morning 9:00-10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
