CATHERINE (FIANDANESE) IERVOLINO

Iervolino, Catherine (Fiandanese), 96, of Cranston died on Friday, January 25, 2008 at R.I. Hospital. She was the wife of the late Michele "Mike the Barber "Iervolino. She was born in Manfredonia, Foggia, Italy, a daughter of the late Nicola and Filomena (Guerra) Fiandanese. She came to America in 1919, settling in Bristol, and was a longtime Providence resident. She was the mother of Phyllis Martins, with whom she made her home for the past 2 years in Cranston, and the late Sarah D'Amico and Achillo "Augie "Iervolino. She was the sister of the late Pasquale Fiandanese and Carmela Guerra. Besides her daughter, she is survived by 3 granddaughters; Kathleen Jennifer Walker of Newton, MA, Doreen Martins Griffin and Lisa Ann Martins both of Warren. She is also survived by her devoted son in-law Vincent D'Amico of Cranston. Her funeral will be held on Monday at 10:am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Church of St. Mark, Garden City, Cranston at 11am.
