CATHERINE M. BURGESS

Catherine M. (Quinn) Burgess 85, of Oaklawn Ave. Cranston passed away Saturday March 8, 2008 at Briarcliffe Manor Johnston. She was the beloved wife of the late Dr. Thomas W. Burgess. Born in Providence daughter of the late James J. and Theresa (Rocchio) Quinn. Catherine was a Register Nurse and Director of Nursing at Our Lady of Fatima and St. Joseph's Hospitals. She also was involved with the Visiting Nurses of RI. She was a graduate of St. Joseph's School of Nursing. Catherine was very active in the community, helping deliver meals with Meals on Wheels and, was a member of the Cranston Senior Center where she was honored as Senior of the year. She is survived by her loving children, Mary Jones of England, Doretta Sheridan of Cranston, her daughter in-law Joanne M. Burgess of Cranston, her cherished grandchildren, Thomas W. Burgess Jr. of East Greenwich, Andrew J. Burgess of Cranston, Shawn and Shannon Jones of FL, her sister, Evelyn Pelagalli of No. Providence. She was the loving mother of the late Thomas W. Burgess and sister of the late James J. Quinn. Her funeral will be held on Friday at 8 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Ave. Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 am in Immaculate Conception Church Oaklawn Ave. Cranston. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery Pawtucket. VISITING HOURS: Friday morning 7-8 am.
