Carolyn A. (Fuyat) Barry

71, of Saunderstown, passed away peacefully at her home on April 26, 2024.  Having been together since they were sixteen, she was the beloved wife of Daniel R. Barry.

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late John E., Sr. and Eleanor (Fay) Fuyat.

She was a member of the first class of women to graduate from Providence College.

Carolyn enjoyed horseback riding, skiing, sailing and traveling.  She loved animals and was creative in many ways.

She was a dedicated and loving wife and mother.

Besides her husband, she leaves her three adopted children, Meghan E.D. Barry of Narragansett, Conor D. Barry of Denver, CO and Sean D. Barry of Quincy, MA; three siblings, John E. Fuyat, Jr. of Narragansett, Fay Lenz of CT and Barbara M. Fuyat of Cranston; and a granddaughter, Hunter.

Her funeral will be held on Friday, May 3, 2024 at 8:45am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory – SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Road, (Rt. 1A), Narragansett followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Veronica Chapel, 1035 Boston Neck Road, Narragansett .  Burial will be in New Fernwood Cemetery, Kingston.  VISITING HOURS Thursday from 4-6pm.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Adoption RI, 290 West Exchange Street, Suite 100, Providence, RI 02903.
