Carole (Hatch) Martinelli

December 20, 1938 — July 27, 2021

Carole (Hatch) Martinelli

passed away peacefully at Miriam Hospital, Providence, RI, on July 27, 2021, after a period of failing health.  Daughter of the late Margaret (Walsh) Hatch & Frederick Hatch, Carole was born December 20, 1938, in Brockton, MA where she resided until moving to Pawtucket, RI, with the love of her life, her husband, the late John Martinelli (2015), in the 1980’s.

Carole was the kindest soul and a loving caregiver - to her family, friends, and her patients during her lengthy career as a Registered Nurse.  She was independent, funny, feisty, and had a way of making you feel loved – even when meeting her for the very first time. She loved online shopping, trips to Stop & Shop, Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, Red Sox games, and playing the lottery.  For many years, Carole and John were antique dealers – Carole was always at yard sales and thrift stores, always trying to find a bargain. Carole loved her family above all else and was loved by everyone who knew her.

Carole is survived by her son, Robert Kucinski, her sister, Evelyn Hatch, with whom she made her home, her brother Richard Hatch and his wife Kathy, her stepchildren; Lisa Martinelli, Laurie Bernard, William Read Sr., Karen Read Downs, Jamin Martinelli, and their spouses / partners, 7 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.  In addition to her husband and parents, Carole was predeceased by her brother, Donald Hatch.

Family & friends are respectfully invited to attend a graveside service to be held at St. Ann’s Cemetery at 73 Church St. Cranston Ri 02920 on Friday September 24th at 11:00 am. Please gather at 10:45 am. in parking lot across from St. Ann’s’ Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Disabled American veterans in memory of Carole.
