Carol R. (Cicione) Silven

Carol R. Silven, 79 of North Kingstown, and Melbourne, FL, passed away peacefully Wednesday September 7, 2022, with her family by her side.  Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Marcotrigiano) Cicione.  She was the beloved and devoted wife (and high school sweetheart) of Donald B. Silven for 61 years.

After graduating from Cranston East High School, Carol began a career in banking, retiring in 2017 as Sr. Vice President at Newport Federal Savings Bank.  Carol and Don shared a long, loving life together, devoting themselves to family and friends, while balancing summers in Rhode Island and winters in Melbourne FL.

Carol’s true passion was spending time with family and friends. Besides her husband she is survived by her four loving children Sherry Sheehan and her husband Ken, Brian Silven, Brad Silven, and Sharon (and Larry) Ceresi. She was grandmother to six: Andrew, Heather, Kirsten, Nicholas, Molly, and Ryan and great-grandmother to 7. She was predeceased by her two late siblings Marion Simpson and Louis Cicione.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday September 13, 2022, at 11:00 am at St. Bernard Church, 275 Tower Hill Rd. North Kingstown. Everyone is asked to go directly to the church. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS will be held Monday from 4:00 -8:00 pm at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston.
