Carol A. Keefe, Esquire
age 77, passed away peacefully June 5th, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Thomas L. DePetrillo, Investment Banker/Entrepreneur, they were happily married for 40 years.
Carol was the middle child of her parents Catherine (O’Shea) and John J. Keefe, Sr. She is survived by her siblings Hugh F. Keefe, Esquire (Tara Knight, Judge), John J. Keefe, Esquire, Marjorie B. Keefe, RNP, MS (Paul M. Preston) and brother in law William P Meehan Esquire. Carol was sister of the late Mary E. Meehan who passed away May 22nd, 2021. She is also survived by her 8 nieces and nephews, 15 great nieces and nephews who all loved her dearly.
She had three stepchildren Paul DePetrillo, Erin DePetrillo, and Thomas M. DePetrillo (his spouse Carol L. DePetrillo, whom was also her caretaker), and two beloved grandchildren Amber and Hunter DePetrillo.
Carol was an intelligent, strong willed first generation Irish woman. Her first career after graduating from Southern Connecticut State University was as an educator. She then attended Suffolk University School of Law, Boston, graduating with honors. She joined a local law firm, then the Attorney General’s Office as Assistant D.A, subsequently opening a private practice. When not working she enjoyed tennis, skiing, and traveling the world with Tom including the North Pole, Galapagos Islands and dozens of trips to Europe.
Visiting hours are Thursday 4pm – 8pm at Nardolillo Funeral Home, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, RI.
Her funeral will be held on Friday at 9am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave. , Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am on at Immaculate Conception Church 237 Garden Hills Drive, Cranston, RI. Burial will take place in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston.
Donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, Rhode Island Chapter in Carol’s memory.
