Carol J. Cabana

Carol J. Cabana, 87 of Cranston, went to meet her valentine Kenny on Friday February 14, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late William and Clara (Quattrucci) Spaziano. She was the wife of the late Kenneth Cabana.

Carol’s love for socializing and helping others was reflected in her career and volunteer choices. Throughout her life, she worked for the telephone company and Armens Hardware before finally retiring from Gateways to Change where she assisted adults with special needs. Carol was very active in the Girl Scouts. She was a Scout Leader for many years and enjoyed camping and traveling the country both with her extended Girl Scout family and with her daughters and grandchildren later in life.

Carol was the hidden gem wherever she went. She never made herself the center of attention, but people were naturally drawn in due to her magnetic personality. She made friends wherever she went; never shying away from a conversation. Her ability to turn complete strangers into friends was always on full display during her “quick” shopping trips which her family often joked were more like shopping excursions that required a bagged lunch.

She cherished family and, above all, was a very proud grandmother and great grandmother. She was affectionately known as “Mamma Bana.” She never missed a chance to brag about her grandchildren’s accomplishments to anyone who would listen and would glow with pride at every opportunity. Memories of her love and devotion, mystery rides in the car, and picnics in the park will be carried with her family for the rest of their lives and, despite her passing, will ensure she lives on. She is survived by her sister Dolores Madonna, daughters Linda Roberts (Donald), Donna Cabana, and bonus children Louis Marchetti III and Venessa Augustine (Stuart). She was the beloved grandmother of Donnie Roberts (Kristen), Louis Marchetti Kimberly Roberts (Mike Manco) and bonus grandchildren Mason, Max, and Mya Augustine. She was the great grandmother of Kaylee Moscarelli, Jace Roberts, Delaney Roberts, Liam Marchetti, and Evelyn Marchetti. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and close family friends.

Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025, at 11:00 am at the Nardolillo Funeral Home & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston. Inurnment will be in St. Ann Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 am.

Her family extends a special thank you to Laurie Cabana and all the staff, nurses and CNAs at Cherry Hill Manor for the loving care given to Carol.
