68, of Providence passed away on Wednesday January 9, 2013 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence. Born in Caserta, Italy he was the son of the late Silvestro and Assunta (DeSpirito) Caparco.
Carmino worked as a landscaper for Forest Hills Nurseries for many years until his retirement. He loved to be outside and took great pride in his work.
He is survived by his loving children, Susan Notorantonio of North Scituate, Karen Sanford of Swansea, MA, and Rhonda Phillips of Burrillville, and the mother of his children Karen Cady; his grandchildren Eddie Sanford, Amanda Phillips, Nicole Trainor, Kevin Phillips, Carmine Joseph Phillips, Joey Notorantonio, Amber Sanford, and Meagan Phillips; his great-grandchildren Jiovanna Sanford and Austin Cesario; his siblings Ida DiBiasio, Maria Marziale, and Julia Monahan all of Johnston, and Giovanni Caparco of Warwick. He was also the brother of the late Antonio Caparco.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Monday at 8:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Bartholomew Church, 305 Laurel Hill Avenue, Providence. Interment will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS are Sunday 3-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society 931 Jefferson Blvd., Suite 3004, Warwick, R.I. 02886.
