Carmine Zompa

96, of West Palm Beach, FL, formerly of Cranston, passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2021. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Bartolomeo and Maria (DeLibarda) Zompa.

Carmine worked as an insurance agent for Metropolitan Life for many years before retiring. He was a member of the North Smithfield Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks (BPOE), a Past President of Greystone Social Club. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing tennis.

He was the brother of the late Anthony B. Zompa, Consiglia “C” Zompa, Annina Maria “Anne” Franco and Michelina Zompa Silvestri. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his loving companion Barbara Surber.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, November 5th at 11:00 am in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.
