CARMINE A. "SHEIKIE" GINOLFI

88, of Tillinghast Ave., Warwick died on Tuesday January 22, 2008 at Kent Hospital. He was the husband of Josephine ( DiMascia ) Ginolfi. He was born in Providence a son of the late Pellegrino " John " and Rosina ( DeRobbio ) Ginolfi. Mr. Ginolfi was a postal employee employed by the US Postal Dept. until his retirement. He was a WW II Army Air Corps Veteran and a lector and active communicant of Sacred Heart Church, West Warwick. His memberships included American Legion Howard Rogers Post, VFW, Legislative Liaison Kelly/Gazzero Post, Italian American War Veterans of the U.S., Commander Albert J. Russo Post, East Natick Veterans, Sons of Italy in America, Christopher Columbus Lodge, Knights of Columbus, Leo Council, Sacred Heart Holy Name Society, APWU, Member and past president of NARFE , member NCNF, Pontiac and East Natick Village Associations and the AARP. Mr. Ginolfi will be remembered for his participation in many civic and community groups, and especially as a citizens advocate. Beside his wife he is survived by his son; John C. Ginolfi and his wife Deborah and their children Christina, John and his wife Abby (Volino) and Joseph . He was the brother of the late Josephine, Anthony, John, Lena Ginolfi; Rose Antoscia, Eva DeFilippo and Mollie Recchia. His funeral will be held on Friday at 9:15am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Sacred Heart Church, Providence St., West Warwick at 10:15am. VISITING HOURS Thursday 4-8pm. Burial with military honors will take place in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. Kindly omit flowers.
