CARMENO P. BOSCIA

Carmeno P. Boscia, 70, of Sweet Meadow Dr., Cranston, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Carol (Catone) Boscia and would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on September 5, 2009.
Born in the Silver Lake section of Providence, he was the son of the late Joseph and Vincenzina (Feula) Boscia. Carmeno was a self-employed building contractor and President of J. Boscia & Sons, Inc. for 52 years . He also served in the 143rd Division of the RI Air National Guard. He was a 1958 graduate of Central High School in Providence where he was an All-State football player. He was a member of the Rhode Island and National Home Builders Association; and the Madonna della Civita Society of Cranston. He enjoyed wine-making with his family and friends. His favorite pastime was watching his grandchildren play sports. Besides his wife, he was the devoted father of Gina Bogda and her husband Ted, Carmen P. Boscia, II and his wife Mona, and Michael J. Boscia and his wife Dawn, all of Cranston; loving grandfather of Carmen III, Bianca, Milan, Giovanna, Dean, Arianna, Michael and Luca; and dear brother of Joseph Boscia and his wife Marie of North Kingstown, Anthony Boscia and his wife Lucille of Saunderstown, Raymond Boscia and his wife Joany of Cranston and Richard Boscia and his wife Angela of Johnston. He was the brother-in-law of Geno Catone of CA and the late Frank Catone. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Saturday at 9:45 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Heart Church, 820 Providence St., West Warwick at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS FRIDAY 5-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: The Tomorrow Fund, 593 Eddy Street, Providence, RI 02903.
