Carmella A. (Colozzi) Zito, 96, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2009 at Kent Regency Nursing Home, Warwick. She was the wife of the late Frank Zito. Born in Cranston she was a daughter of the late Giovanni and Maria (Carnevale) Colozzi and she was a lifelong resident of Cranston.
She was employed as a salesperson at the former Outlet Company in Garden City for many years. She was a loving and caring person that will be sadly missed by her family. She is survived by two sons, Gerald Zito of Providence, David Zito and his wife Joanne of Cranston. Four Grandchildren, Jamie Zito and his wife Natasha, Mandy Zito and her partner Howard Brown, Catherine and Zachary Zito. Two great grandchildren, Isabella and Ava Zito. She was the sister of Virginia Proulx of Warwick, Edward Colozzi of Cranston and the late Antonette DeAngelus, Grace Padula, Anna Caranci, Joseph, John, Italo and Carl Colozzi. Her funeral will be held on Friday at 10am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in The Church of St. Mark, Garden City, Cranston at 11am. VISITING HOURS, Thursday 4-8pm. Burial will take place in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
