92, of Cranston, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late John G. Callahan for 65 years.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Gaetano and Filomena (Piccirillo) Travisano.
Carmella worked for the former Outlet Company as a gift wrapper for many years before retiring.
She was the devoted mother of John W. Callahan and his late wife Beverly S., Steven A. Callahan and his wife Deborah, Glenn T. Callahan, Deborah A. Lemay and her husband Normand and Patricia A. Giarrusso and her husband Louie; cherished grandmother of eleven and loving great-grandmother of ten. She was the dear sister of Joseph Travisano, Barbara Scallon and the late Michele Travisano, Anthony Travisano, Gaetano Travisano and Gloria Collins. She was the sister-in-law of Carol Callahan.
Carmella was the Matriarch of her entire family and friends; and a volunteer at the Cranston Senior Center where she competed in many senior Olympics with her husband and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her VISITING HOURS on Thursday October 8th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave. Cranston. Her funeral and burial will be private.
