CARMELA "Lala" D. (SCALZI) FORCHIONE

91, of Smithfield previously of Cranston, passed away on Wednesday May 4, 2011 at the Hebert Nursing Home, Smithfield. She was born in Providence, the daughter of the late Michael and Luisa (Pensa) Scalzi. Carmela is survived by her loving children, Maria Pagliarini and her husband Paul of No. Scituate and John Forchione of MA, and was the mother of the late Michael Forchione. She was also the cherished grandmother of Gianna and Nicholas Pagliarini, great grandmother of Amelia Grace Harris and was the sister of Michael Scalzi of Cranston, Robert Scalzi of West Warwick, Diana Tocco of Smithfield, Judith O'Donnell of Providence, and the late Richard Scalzi. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Mass on Monday at 10 am in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, Atwood Ave., Johnston. Arrangements by the Nardolillo Funeral Home & Crematory.
