Carlos S. Fernandes

89, of Cranston, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2020 peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family.  He was the beloved husband of Maria (Arelo) Fernandes.  Carlos was a son of the late Antonio F. and Maria A. (Arelo) Gloria.  Mr. Fernandes was a machine operator for many years, before retiring.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving daughters, Suzanne Hale and her husband David, and Rosa Simpson and her husband Stephen, all of Cranston.  Carlos was the cherished grandfather of Stephen Simpson, Daniel Duarte, Ryan Duarte, and David Simpson.  He was the great grandfather of Sophia and Noah Simpson.  Carlos was the dear brother of Adozinda Gloria, Maria Dos-Santos, and Jose Gloria.

His funeral will be held from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Monday at 10 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Matthew’s Church, Cranston at 11 a.m.  Visiting hours are on Monday MORNING from 8:30-10:30 a.m.  Burial will Take place in Mt. St. Mary’s Cemetery, Pawtucket.
