CARLO UCIFERRO, 88, of Simmonsville Ave., Johnston, passed away Monday, June 9, 2008 at Briarcliffe Manor, Johnston. He was the beloved husband of Antonetta (Zinno) Uciferro.
Born in Johnston, he was the son of the late John and Ann (Quinte) Uciferro.
Mr. Uciferro was a WW-II U.S. Army and P.O.W. Veteran, and served in the Battle of the Bulge. He was the owner and operator along with his wife of Hilltop Poultry from 1959-1999, and he also worked for the Johnston School Department for 10 years.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Judith Ann Gareau and her husband Steven, and Steven John Uciferro and his wife Donna, all of Johnston; his grandchildren, Tara Uciferro-Houle, Kevin Uciferro and Heather McKaig; his great- grandchildren, Maya and Ava McKaig; and his sisters, Mae Mosesian and Patricia Morra.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Rocco's Church, Atwood Ave., Johnston at 10:30 a.m.
Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.
