Carl A. Cassella 91, of Lincoln Avenue, Cranston, died Sunday, March 23, 2008 at St. Joseph's Living Center, Providence. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Antonio and Ida (Parrillo) Cassella. Mr. Cassella was a barber for many years before his retirement. He was a WW II veteran serving in the US Army Air Corps. Mr. Cassella was a lifetime member of Providence Lodge #14 BPOE and the the Disabled American Veterans Post #10. He resided in Chicago and later in Florida before moving back to Cranston in 2005. He is survived by one sister Evelyn Squadrito of Coventry and one brother of Anthony Cassella of Cranston. Mr. Cassella was the brother of the late Phyllis Regine, Bernice Fitzgerald, Mary Natale, Jean Luther, Dolores Palmieri, Teresa Senecal, Paul and Louis Cassella. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 1525 Cranston Street, Cranston.
